Bio:
Dr. Caparco completed his PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology (2020) in Atlanta, GA under Profs. Andreas Bommarius and Julie Champion. His thesis work focused on enzyme immobilization and protein-inorganic material assembly using amine dehydrogenases. After receiving a STEM Chateaubriand Fellowship (2019), Adam also worked for several months at Genoscope in Evry, France on an enzyme discovery and metagenomics project with naturally occurring amine dehydrogenases. Currently, Dr. Caparco is a postdoctoral scholar with Prof. Nicole Steinmetz at UCSD, where he focuses on precision agriculture and virus-derived materials.
